Community Action Connections is a private non-profit social service agency providing a variety of services to low-income individuals and families throughout Benton and Franklin Counties.

Services and Programs provided range from 150% to 200% of current Federal Poverty Level guidelines. Eligibility requirements differ from program to program. We encourage all interested households seeking assistance to contact us with any questions regarding services provided.   

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is a federally funded program that assists eligible applicants with heating costs for low-income households below 150% of the FPL in the Benton and Franklin Counties.

The Community Action Connections offers Energy Assistance beginning October of each year until financial projections show the number of registered households will exhaust LIHEAP funds for the current program year ending in July. Energy Assistance  assists with following energy sources such as electricity, natural gas, propane, heating oil, and wood and/or if heat is included in rent.
