Community Action Connections is a private non-profit social service agency providing a variety of services to low-income individuals and families throughout Benton and Franklin Counties.

Most of the programs and services provided by this department are limited to households with an average income at or below either 125% or 150% of the current poverty guideline in effect.

Depending upon the specific assistance requested, various and differing types of documentation and verification will be required of you and all members of your household in order to determine eligibility for the specific type of services or assistance you have requested.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is a federally funded program for qualified households that provides a one-time benefit (per program year) to assist with heating costs. LIHEAP provides assistance to qualified low-income households in Benton and Franklin Counties.

Beginning October of each year, CAC will provide Registry forms as the first step to determine if a household is eligible for energy assistance.  Each household must complete a form for current LIHEAP cycle; registry forms from past years cannot be used.
